Modern Beach House

Sustainability, clean lines, and privacy are three words to describe this forward-thinking
Florida beach home. Completed in 2014, this 5,000 square-foot home under roof boasts
these incredible energy-efficient features: a rooftop garden to mitigate the heat island; solar panels on the roof to offset monthly energy costs; and low-impact landscaping with native regional plants that require minimal water or pesticides. In addition, organic spray foam insulation has been used throughout the home for energy efficiency, light paint colors help to reduce heat absorption, and sustainable products made in the United States have been used when available.
